How DNS Lookup Works

This tool queries public DNS resolvers directly from your browser using DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH). Your query goes straight to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google (8.8.8.8) — we don't proxy, log, or store any data. The domain you look up is never sent to our servers.

When to Use This

Verify DNS propagation — check if your DNS changes have taken effect
Debug email delivery — look up MX records to see where mail is routed
Check domain ownership — inspect TXT records for SPF, DKIM, and verification tokens
Find name servers — see which DNS provider a domain uses
Compare resolvers — switch between Cloudflare and Google to spot caching differences

Privacy
