About This Tool

This password generator was built to solve a simple problem: creating strong, truly random passwords without trusting a third party with your credentials.

100% Client-Side

Every password is generated entirely in your web browser. No data is sent to any server. There is no backend, no database, no user accounts, and no tracking. The source code is fully visible — right-click the page and view it yourself.

Cryptographically Secure

Unlike many password generators that use Math.random() (which is predictable and not suitable for security), this tool uses the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues()). This is the same cryptographic random number generator used by security software, encryption tools, and operating systems.

Why Password Strength Matters

A 12-character password using only lowercase letters has about 95 billion possible combinations. That sounds like a lot, but modern hardware can test billions of passwords per second. Increase that to 16 characters with mixed case, numbers, and symbols, and you get over 10³⁰ combinations — well beyond what any computer can brute-force in a human lifetime.

Open and Transparent

This tool has no hidden functionality. It loads a single HTML page, a stylesheet, and a small JavaScript file. There are no external dependencies, no frameworks, and no tracking scripts beyond what our advertising partner (Google AdSense) provides.
